Internship Polytechnic Marche students at the CSS

 

End in October 2019 of the CSS pre-graduate curricular internship for two students in the Master of Science in the Polytechnic of the Marche, Degree Course in Marine Biology, Gaia Rossetti and Rossella Debernardis. During the internship they were able to take advantage of the equipment available and necessary for the technical-scientific management of the species of sharks, present at the Sharks Studies Center in Massa Marittima, as well as providing for feeding, laser measurement of the specimens present, water changes, etc., collecting useful data to the DB of CSS. They were also able to attend, during an exit at sea with the CSS, to the use of the R.O.V. Poseidon, Remote operative vehicule, in use to the CSS and useful for shooting even at depths of about 100m. They participated in the “Researchers’ Day” in Siena following the CSS which has been present at this event for some years with its material and equipment, therefore they voluntarily provided assistance, during a night dive of the CSS staff, along the coast of Porto Ercole. We wish the students a good continuation of marine biology studies.
